Niche Events - Do I have to do them? No, but why not? How can you say that you don't like something without trying it first? Most niche events are like trying a lollipop for the first time. Not sure what we mean, well think about it. First of all you are intrigued so you give it a go. Your not sure what to expect, but after the initial moments a grin starts to appear and no what happens it won't go away until the lollipop is gone. See what we mean?So no you don't have to do them, but you should at least give them a go at least once! The only three activities that you need to complete are the three expedition parts of the main award scheme, but you would be use that if you have come through the Scouting progressive award scheme. No matter what though, don't let this be the reason you miss out on all the good things Explorer Scouting has to offer. Trust us it is a lot better than standing outside the local shops of an evening!
